Full name: ‘Abdur Rahmaan ibn Abu Bakr ibn Muhammad, Jalaalud Deen as Suyootee He grew up as an orphan, his father died while he was six. Ash Shihaab ibn al Tabbaak raised him. He busied himself with seeking knowledge at a young age, he memorized the Qur-aan before the age of eight and studied a number of Islaamic texts. He traveled to ash Shaam, al Hijaaz, Yemen, India, Morrocow before settling in his country; Egypt.

Amongst the books he authored: Ibn Iyaas stated in ‘The History of Egypt’; ‘As Suyootee authored more the 600 books.’
